Problem

When using Intel Pentium D 830 or 840 CPU’s the following problems may be experienced... Crashed during Windows XP Setup Freeze and reboot during Windows File copy Crashes in 3D applications

Reason

The older bios versions did not have support for some of the new Pentium D CPU’s that are available. On some systems using the CPU-Z utility users may find that Core 1 runs at 3.2Ghz and Core 2 runs at 2.8Ghz. There may be limited support for Pentium D CPU’s on the nForce 4 SLI motherboards with this problem. There are new bios versions available which update the CPU code for support on these main boards. Solution

Please update bios for the following boards to the respective versions… 8N-SLI – update to Bios version F4 8N-SLI Pro – update to Bios version F6 8N-SLI Royal – update to Bios version F5
